Andrew Kinsey is an Multi-Emmy award-winning journalist who anchors WBNS 10TV News in Columbus, Ohio at 5, 6 & 11 pm. As the main anchor he goes one-on-one with changemakers, holds the powerful accountable and gives a voice to those downtrodden and overlooked.
Andrew is a proven newsroom leader who is fiercely competitive, loyal, and committed to hard work in an ever-evolving industry. His humble beginnings in mass media, started as an unpaid radio intern. He has since worked in radio, local news and national news. In addition to his work in television, he is the founder of a youth mentoring foundation (Andrew Cares) and is a sought after motivational and inspirational speaker.
For nearly 15 years, Andrew has dedicated himself to making an impact and supporting those in the community through various ways - supporting inner-city youth, breast cancer research, the homeless and people recovering from addictions. Andrew believes we are all truly dependent on one another’s benevolence and good will. So he is doing his part to help and transform lives.
In addition to his Emmy awards, Andrew holds Associated Press Awards for Best Anchor and Best Investigative Reporter.
He also holds prestigious honors from various community organizations for his commitment to journalism and the community.​ He earned degrees from Clark Atlanta University (B.A.) and Central Michigan University (M.A.). He is a member of The National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ) and Investigative Reporters and Editors (IRE) .
